Biography

A fourth generation performer, he’s the son of a jazz singing sailor and an hilarious former model. Billy Courage was the voice for the 2010 Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium of stations for Bell Media and Rogers Media (CTV Olympics) including Rogers Sportsnet, TSN, Omni, OLN, V, The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and several channels owned by the Asian Television Network.

 

He was the narrator of Crime Stories and Legend Hunters on History Channel and many stations in Canada, the U.S. and around the world. He handles U.S. national commercial campaigns such as when Brinks re-striped as Broadview Security. The intense spots were effective, they were copied and eventually parodied on Saturday Night Live. Concert spot voiceovers include campaigns for Buffalo Springfield, John Mellencamp, Fleetwood Mac, Ben Harper and Black Crowes among others.

 

CTV Television news, Rogers Sportsnet sports and radio imaging, he’s also been in session in-character for full length animation films and video games including Martha Speaks for PBS, a russian gunman on one of the Grand Theft Autos and the P.A. announcer on NHL 2000 for E.A.
